While in some ways this song is overdone, it’s still the archetypal Hank song.

Charlie Daniels.  No, The Devil Went Down to Georgia is not his best song.  This is.

Neo-Traditionalism.  This brand of country had a distinct sound and a classy look.  On the other hand, it wasn’t the yodeling of the 1950s.

My personal favorite of the Neo-Traditionalists.

The last gasp:  Country Music died when Daryle Singletary died.  That’s just the sad truth.  Even though he didn’t write the following song, the man was a poet.
