For Plato time is a moving image of eternity. It is less “real” and something to be escaped from. For Paul time sees the age to come in-breaking the present evil age.

But Paul says those who are episkopoi/presbyteroi are worthy of double honor. So, this seems to be Kuyperian gloss on collapsing the Church into Christendom, unless you mean something like an ontological superiority viz. indelible mark of grace.

How is Mr. Carnal and Mr. Spiritual significantly different from Romans 7? Is this a reference to some heresy?

It was usually used to denote that the body is Mr Carnal and the spirit is Mr Spiritual.
